Exclusive First Look at Weehawken’s Latest Waterfront Development

July 23, 2018

The Lincoln Harbor neighborhood of Weehawken is set to welcome yet another waterfront complex developed by Hartz Mountain, Jersey Digs has learned. At Harbor 1500, a partnership of The Maxal Group and Hartz Mountain will deliver 236 units and over 40,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities one block from the Lincoln Boulevard Hudson-Bergen Light Rail stop and the Lincoln Tunnel.

According to Hartz and Maxal, Harbor 1500 is set to consist of a mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom luxury units. Every unit at Harbor 1500 will include floor-to-ceiling windows, Kohler fixtures, and GE Profile appliances. And every unit on the second floor will feature a terrace with privacy screens and perimeter cable railing.

The developers said Harbor 1500 will add to the evolution of the Lincoln Harbor neighborhood from its traditional office landscape to its modern live-work-play atmosphere.

Two rooftops, one on the fifth and sixth floor, will comprise a significant portion of the 40,000 square feet of amenity space planned for the development. While the fifth-floor rooftop of Harbor 1500 will feature a lawn with an outdoor movie screen, BBQ, and fire pits, the sixth-floor rooftop will be comprised of a lawn, pool, hot tub, grills, and lounging areas.

“In fall 2018, New Jersey’s first 365 by Whole Foods Market will open across the street from Harbor 1500,” the developers told Jersey Digs. “The building is situated right in the heart of an expansive public park system that includes a dog park, the Weehawken Pier, which stretches more than 400 feet into the Hudson River and offers kayak and fishing docks, as well as Lincoln Harbor Park, which plays host to the Hudson Riverfront Performing Arts Center’s popular free summer concerts series.”

Valet parking, 24/7 concierge services, and a tasting room have also been planned for Harbor 1500.

Harbor 1500 is directly adjacent to Hartz Mountain’s Estuary Apartments.
